In 1990, CrossWay Counseling Center was founded by Michael Gates in Daphne, AL. CrossWay is a for profit private practice counseling center. Professionally trained counselors apply their knowledge of Psychology and Christian principles to counsel individuals, couples, and families. Counselors at our office provide outpatient counseling services to individuals of all ages and are trained to deal with a wide range of issues. We are dedicated to meeting people at their point of need. We have several licensed counselors on site who assist clients using different types of therapeutic techniques. We do not have a psychiatrist on site. Some insurances are accepted depending on the therapist. (For more information about fees, please contact our office). All counseling sessions are by appointment only.

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in marriage and family relationships. I am a National Board Certified Supervisor for Licensed Professional Counselors and a Clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
I earned my Doctoral degree in Psychology and Counseling at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I have both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Theology. I have more than 20 years experience as a therapist.

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who has been at Crossway since 2008. Prior to Crossway, I worked as a counselor in a college setting and a church setting.

I am a licensed professional counselor who has been practicing since 2015. Prior to joining Crossway Counseling, I worked as a counselor in a community mental health setting, as a clinic coordinator on a college campus, and in private practice.
